The Power of God's Word

E-mail PDF

POWER OF THE WORD OF GOD IN OUR LIFE
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with
our eyes, which we have looked upon and touched with our hands, concerning the
word of life. 1 John 1:1

The Word Lives Among Us
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace
and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son
from the Father. John 1:14

Word of God has the Power to Create
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He
was in the beginning with God; all things were made through him, and without him was
not anything made that was made. John 1:1,3

Word of God is Bread of Life
But he answered, "It is written, `Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that
proceeds from the mouth of God.'" Matthew 4:4

Word of God Saves Souls
Therefore put away all filthiness and rank growth of wickedness
and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able
to save your souls. James 1:21

Be a Believer

E-mail PDF
Then Jesus said to him, "Because you have seenMe, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen Me and yet have believed".John 20:29

Stop focusing on what you can't do, and start focusing on what God can do. The Biblesays, "The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. Letthat seed take root inside you. You don't have to figure out how God is goingto solve your problems. You don't have to see how He's going to bring it topass. That's His responsibility, that's not your job. Your job is to be abeliever.  Your job is to live with faithand expectancy.  Just turn that situationover to God and trust Him to take care of it. God is a supernatural God.

The Bible says, "God's ways are not our ways. They are higher and better thanour ways." God can do what human beings cannot or will not do. He is notlimited to the laws of nature. And if you'll let that seed  take root so it can grow, put your trust andconfidence in the Lord, God will surely bring it to pass. If you can see theinvisible, God will do the impossible..

Don't restrict your vision; instead, begin seeing yourself as God's child. Seeyourself as receiving good things from your heavenly Father. If you'll do yourpart by believing, having big vision for your life, living with faith andexpectancy, and seeing yourself as God sees you, God will take you places thatother people said were impossible to experience this side of heaven.

You will become what you believe!

A Prayer

E-mail PDF

"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth."
- Matthew 5:5

One evening a poor farmer on his way back from the market found himself without his prayer book. The wheel of his cart had come off right in the middle of the woods and it distressed him that his day should pass without his having said his prayers.

So this is the prayer he made: "I have done something very foolish. Lord, I came away from home this morning without my prayer book and my memory is such that I cannot recite a single prayer without it. So this is what I am going to do: I shall recite the alphabet five times very slowly and you, to whom all prayers are known, can put the letters together to form the prayers I cannot remember."

And the Lord said to his angels. "Of all the prayers I have heard today, this one was undoubtedly the best because it came from a heart that was simple and sincere."

Make a Difference

E-mail PDF

The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands he recompensed me.
-Psalms 18:20

A man was walking down a deserted Mexican beach at sunset. As he walked along he began to see another man in the distance. As he grew nearer he noticed that the local native kept leaning down, picking something up, and throwing it out into the water. Time and again he kept hurling things out into the ocean. As our friend approached even closer he noticed that the man was picking up starfish that had washed up onto the beach, and one at a time, he was throwing them back into the ocean.

The first man was puzzled. He approached the man and said, "Good Evening Friend, I was wondering what are  you  doing?" And he replied, "I'm throwing these starfish back into the ocean. You see, its  low tide right now and all these starfish have been washed up onto the shore. If I don't throw them back into the sea, they will die from the lack of oxygen." "I understand," my friend replied "but there must be thousands of starfish on this beach and you couldn't possibly get to all of them. There are simply too many and don't you realize that this is happening on hundreds of beaches up and down this coast ... can't you see that you can't possibly make a difference?

The local native smiled, bent down, picked up yet another starfish ... and as he threw it back out into the sea, he replied, "It made a difference to that one!"
